Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Children will gain a greater appreciation for rhythm and music. They will be exposed to a puppet performance, an art not often seen in our area. The children will learn that prose in books often has a musical element, showing that musical expression can be found in many areas of our daily life. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Treava's program was highly interactive. She encouraged children to come up and perform with her and provided them with instruments and props that allowed them to be part of her performance. Between each song she gave a brief history of the song giving the audience insight into it and the role music played in the early days of the nation. Treava is an accomplished ventriloquist and amazed the audience with her puppetry skills.
