Attendees will learn about Irish culture, music and dance, as well as be exposed to award-winning authors, musicians, historians and travelers. Participant evaluations and anecdotal responses will be collected.
This had to be the largest attendance of any author visit we've had. We had 50+ surveys returned, all who felt they learned something new about Ireland, the bogs and history. Although none of the audience took up the offer to learn some Irish dance steps, a couple of young children danced freely to the music. We continue to hear from patrons that they really enjoyed the visit. Because our local cable channel recorded the event, many more community members will have a chance to experience the program.
