The Okee Dokee Brothers
Preschoolers and their caregivers will learn more about areas in the United States and about the folk music genre. Attendees will come together and enjoy one another's company while learning about the earth, camping and other outdoor events. We hope attendees will learn to appreciate the outdoors, other areas of the country and the folk music genre. They will also learn that people in other areas of the country may do things differently, listen to other types of music and enjoy one another's company. Anecdotal responses will be collected.
This event was enjoyed by all adults and children. The Okee Dokee Brothers shared information about instruments, had audience members listen and try to identify instrument sounds and even let some children try different instruments. They talked about hiking the Appalachian Trail, traveling the U.S. and the people and things they have seen and experienced. The folk music they played was enjoyed also.
