Paws to Read with The Zinghoppers
The performers have a commitment to honoring young children and furthering their education through interactive music, movement and fun. It will be educational as well as entertaining and fun for the children in our community to experience this program. Anecdotal responses will be collected.
The presenter was very outgoing and did a great job of involving the children. Even though the program was geared to preschool through early elementary age children, the older kid were attentive and had fun too. Responses to the animal facts varied; some stated they learned great facts while others said they really didn't learn anything new. All ages enjoyed learning new dance moves and hulahooping was a hit.
Mt. Lake partnered with several other Plum Creek System libraries to make this an affordable program. Partnering with other PCLS libraries helped make the program affordable. The Star Herald Newspaper provided free advertising. The KQAD radio station provided free advertising. The Friends of the Rock County Library provided assistance to staff the program. The Community Education program provided advertising in their newsletter.
