Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
Participants will receive instruction and be provided the opportunity to explore using chalk pastels and watercolor paints to produce art pieces. Art principles discussed and demonstrated will include positive/negative space and value achieved through shading and blending. The principles of art: color, texture, value, space, form, line and contrast will be taught.
Measurable Outcome(s)
Comments from the survey revealed that participants viewed the instructor as highly knowledgeable in art mediums that she was teaching and that she gave them a great deal of encouragement and confidence in their artistic skills. Gratitude toward the library and Legacy funds as expressed and hope that the library will offer future art classes expressed.
