Project Overview
Count Whackula believes that each time a book is opened, readers have the opportunity to explore regular worlds, meet outrageous characters, and learn how to do the most amazing things. In short, there is a ghoulish adventure waiting inside of every book. A family oriented event, this is designed for kids pre-kindergarten through 5th grade, filled with storytelling, drama, comedy, magic, lots of great books and audience participation.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

It is hoped that this enjoyable and educational program will instill in children the fact that reading is fun. We hope to bring existing patrons as well as new patrons into the library and that all who attend will be motivated to read during the fall season and beyond.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees enjoyed the cool magic tricks and that the program was suitable for kids of all ages. The love of reading, listening and manners were cited as something that was learned or acquired through the program. Participant evaluations and anecdotal responses were collected.
