Audience will learn about capturing oral histories, including information on types of recorders and quality of recordings and will learn basic interview questions.
We asked attendees to fill out an evaluation form. The following are excerpts from those forms concerning "one new thing": "Treasure album of your personal items." "Acid free labels for back of pictures." "Save digital as TIFF, tissue interleafed in scrapbooks." "Create barrier between possessions." "I am a Decorative Arts Historian so I knew the material she was discussing. But I think she did an excellent job and I believe the woman I came with learned a lot." "I learned how to preserve photos, letters & documents along with LOTS of other skills. This was a valuable presentation for me!" "Unfold paper, storing of cloth, laying books flat"
Redwood Falls Public Library provided refreshments and paid for advertising in our local newspaper.
