Treasure Village presents The Frog Prince
Children will learn not to judge based on appearances and to value the practice of helping other's.
The audience gave us responses verbally and through their actions. The presentation included a discussion immediately following where parents and children could respond or ask questions. Through the comments and questions, it was clear that the message of helping others was important. For that age group, the idea of not judging someone before you know them was more complex, but parents commented on how vanity is so prevalent in our society and asked how do we keep our children from trying to grasp the perfection that is shown in magazines and on TV with celebrities who look perfect. The response was to keep the conversation going. Communication about this kind of topic is key to building a child's self-esteem and confidence.
First Lutheran Church provided the venue.
