This class will give participants tools to start writing their stories, as well as improve on what they have already written. It will also be an opportunity to share writing with each other and learn how others get ideas for writing and forming stories.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants: 1) received many practical tools and tips to improve their writing, including a good outline, a memory map and how to use it as a guide, concrete descriptions of writers’ devices, how to use all five senses, how to keep stories time relative, and many other practical helps,
2) gained more confidence in their writing abilities and how to express oneself and write with feeling,
3) had the opportunity to share their stories and listen to others’ stories.
Participant Response: This class was great --- true to its title and theme. Great memory jogger! It was a fantastic experience!
