In the Stories Alive!/Books Alive! program, favorite stories and books come alive with the WonderWeavers unique blend of storytelling. Using audience participation, puppets, props, and magic, this program promotes literacy and reinforces the importance of reading for people of all ages.

The children attending this event will hear familiar stories for the first time and their caregivers, who may have heard these stories before, will learn different ways to communicate to the children in their lives. On the whole, families will learn about the art of storytelling, puppetry, and magic.
Measurable Outcome(s)
The families attending this event enjoyed the variety of stories that the storytellers told - and liked that the program emphasized the importance of reading and stories. One of the parents mentioned on their evaluation form that the thing they enjoyed most about the program was 'watching engaged kids enjoy the stories.'
