Project Overview
The Bug Show is a unique, hands-on program that allows children to use all their senses to learn about the mysterious world of bugs (insects and their relatives). Children get to examine close-up, perhaps even handle, an assortment of live arthropods (hand-sized cecropia moths, mouse-sized hissing cockroaches, pencil-sized millipedes, and hand-sized tarantulas. Children will also see unique, weird & wacky exotic preserved insects from around the world and learn about the (sometimes comical) defenses they employ to survive. Larvets, a special bug snack is available.

The surveys showed positive comments about the bug show. The children wanted to hear and learn more about bugs/insects. Bruce let the children hold a cecropia moth, hissing cockroach, millipede, and a tarantula. The surveys filled out rated the program great or very good. The children learned about different kinds of bugs/insects.
