Arthur Norby is an artist, sculptor, and author. Mr. Norby chatted with us about his book entitled "The Deadly Winter," which is set in rural Minnesota in 1938 and involves the death of a transient worker on a WPA project that affects an entire community.

Author is knowledgeable regarding the WPA and what it accomplished in Minnesota during the depression years. This is the background of the book. Norby is also a very talented sculptor and this will enter into the presentation.

Local history of WPA projects in the area. Promotion of a local artist, sculptor, and author. Book club members were in attendance.
