Award winning Minnesota Children's Book Author Michael Hall will present on becoming an author/illustrator, discuss the process of making picture books, read stories, and lead children in an interactive group.

Children participating in this event will learn more about what it takes to become an author/illustrator. They will enjoy meeting the author of books they have read. This program will inspire children and their parents to read more and spark an interest in drawing, writing, and imagining their own stories.
The children who attended these programs all really enjoyed listening to Michael Hall read his books. All of Michael's books include humorous bits and both children and adults laughed along with his reading of his stories. Some comments from parents attending along with their children include: 'This was worth our time. Thank you for bringing a NY Times best-selling author to our community.' 'I thought this program was excellent. Would tell other families we know about it.' Library staff stated that 'We really enjoyed having Michael Hall at our libraries and love that we have the opportunity to bring Minnesota authors and artists to our rural communities.'
