Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
These children will gain one of the six skills of early childhood literacy. This is the skill of sound awareness which allows children to learn sound of words through repetitiveness, rhymes, and finger plays.
Measurable Outcome(s)
The children learned how to do and draw a story from the numbers. They learned you can write a book with one word. They learned how the drawings were done. Adults learned about the relationship between a writer and illustrator and the publishing process.
Source of Additional Funds
Cities provided space in the library buildings for the program. KMS provided the gymnasium for the children to attend program. The libraries provided the posters and advertising for the event. Radio stations and newspapers advertised the events.
