Family History Research Series
The goal of the Family History Research Series is to provide participants with a series of programs which will cover topics from beginning to advanced genealogy research. Whether a participant is just starting out, or if they are an experienced researcher, this program will offer something for everyone. Presenters for the Family History Research series will be staff & volunteers with the McLeod County Historical Society & Museum.
83 participated
1) Those participating in the Family Research Series will come away with a broader base of research knowledge and will take with them at least one new skill which they can apply to their own family research. 2) Area residents will have the opportunity to connect and share stories with one another. 3) Those attending sessions will be inspired and encouraged to pursue their own family research and will pass forward their knowledge and stories to others in their families.
This is an ongoing program - with one additional session - Advanced Family History Research Programs - taking place in Sept/October 2017. So far two 'multi-session' events have been held: 1) Beginner Family History Research 2) Intermediate Family History Research for a total of 25 workshops across McLeod County Libraries.
