Professor Marvel's Musical Magic Show
1) Children will associate a fun and engaging activity with reading. 2) Program is tied to the Summer Reading theme of 'Read to the Rhythm' - children & caregivers will learn new things about music AND magic 3) displays, activities & takeaways associated with music/magic will be made available. 4) Culturally, this program will provide an appreciation of music, books, and the creative arts.
1) Robert used 6 books during the show and essentially did a book talk with each one. Attendees learned about new books and how to find them in the library. 2) Kids left interested in music AND magic. Many were interested in checking out books before leaving. 3) Books on magic that were on display during the program were quickly checked out after the program 4) the crowd was jovial and everyone had a great time!
