Reading Themed Mural
Local artist Dona Larkin will paint a reading themed mural on the walls of the Renville library. Dona will then speak at a community reception for the new mural where she will share the process of creating the artwork and the ideas behind it.

Community members will learn the process of creating a large mural, and may become interested in trying their own hand at painting. It will also spark renewed interest in the library as a place for the community to gather.
Community members were especially interested in the amount of time Dona invested into painting the mural. Visitors were also impressed with the fine details in the various scenes as well as her artistic abilities, and commented on the colorful atmosphere generated by her work.
