Participants took a "trip around the world" to learn the art of puppetry and its history. They learned to turn sticks, cloth, string, and their hands into characters.

Participants will learn 1) about the art of puppetry and simple materials that can be used to create this art form, 2) techniques for performing with puppets.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees learned about a variety of materials and how they are used to create puppets, as well as the countries from which various types of puppets originated. They also had the opportunity to make and use various puppets. Participants learned that imagination + technique = magic.
