Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees will learn about art history and pieces of art in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Everyone who attended, from age 7 to teens to adults, enjoyed and benefited from this program. It was so much more than art on a wall (although, seeing an actual Van Gogh painting was remarkable.) Folks learned some art history, they learned about Egyptian mummies, and Chinese burying customs, they saw an algae exhibit, a Tatra T87 sedan - way ahead of its time with aerodynamic design -- and everything in between from Asian Art to Contemporary Art to Decorative Textiles and Sculptures. "This program was a great opportunity for rural folk to experience culture and history at a place they may never have had the opportunity to visit."
