Minnesota Zoomobile
At this program we expect that children and their guardians will learn more about Minnesota's wildlife and how to recognize their tracks when they are out discovering nature.
The children (and adults) attending this program learned about various animals and their habitats. They also learned how to be respectful towards them, and how their behavior could affect the possible extinction of animals. The children went away from the program with a newfound respect for animals, even those that can be quite scary sometimes. The children learned about animals from Minnesota, and even cleared up the tale many had heard about opossums sleeping while hanging from their tails. Most enjoyed the visit and would like to travel to the Minnesota Zoo when and if they can.
The city of Kerkhoven displayed the event on their portable sign along Hwy. 12.
