Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
People who attend this program will learn how to prepare and maintain a straw bale garden. As this type of a garden is one that can be done in a large or a small space, it will be something that many people can do regardless of where they make their home. Being in a rural area, most of the supplies needed for this kind of gardening are readily available.
Measurable Outcome(s)
Everyone who attended this program felt like they received a lot of very useful information on techniques for gardening and even some of the science behind why plants grow well in bales. Mr. Karsten was regarded as being a very knowledgeable and good speaker as well. Straw bale gardens appear to be popping up & flourishing well in our area.
