Cool Animals of the North
This program will teach children about our natural world and animals that live in Minnesota and elsewhere. In addition it will make people more aware of the library as a community resource, specifically the library summer reading program and other offerings for children.
The program taught children about animals native to Minnesota and what they could do to help preserve their habitats. In addition, it increased awareness of the library as a community resource and fun place to come. The Olivia Corn Capital Days Committee commented that this event was a nice addition to the community festival and hopes something similar will be done again. One grandparent attending noted 'My grandchildren were captivated.' Another told us 'My kids were talking about it for days.'
