Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Those in attendance will have a better understanding of the historic value and the history behind Fort Snelling and what it means to Minnesota.

Measurable Outcome(s)

All reviews were positive and stated how much participants had learned about Minnesota's involvement in the Civil War. They also mentioned the fact that Minnesota participated in slavery (some were surprised by this) and the awful treatment of the Native Americans. Participants liked the tie-in from Fort Snelling to the Civil War display at the Minnesota History Center. Many evaluations returned mentioned how participants would not have had this opportunity had it not been for the library and the Legacy dollars provided for the bus trip.
