Professor Marvel brings the magic of books to kids, from pre-school and up. He promotes six books from graphic novels to chapter books, using colorful backdrops, costumes and interactive theater to show there is magic in books.

To help children get beyond the basic words in a book to where they create images of the story in their minds. This will help children develop literacy as they make connections between words and stories. To share the fun and magic found in the pages of a book.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants learned through magic and other stagecraft how books can be brought to life in the minds of children. Participant feedback: "Professor Marvel thoroughly engaged large numbers of young children during the entire performance."
