A new or renewed interest in live theater productions and performance, interest in storytelling as performing art, a higher value placed on the services that the libraries offer, and an appreciation of the artistic expression provided is expected. Theater performances are beneficial to the imagination of children and adults alike and it is hoped that this will strengthen attendees' own interests in theater and artistic expression. Anecdotal responses will be collected.
Attendees at both locations voiced their approval at the quality of the theater performance. The interactive nature of the production always resonates with the children and parents and one parent related to the Worthington children's librarian, 'I love that my child was able to participate and to be part of the story!' The live theater performances definitely created an interest in storytelling and theater performance. There were 78 attendees in Adrian and 134 in Worthington.
