History and Memories of Little Golden Books - Ellen Radel
When Little Golden Books were first published in 1942, high quality books for children were not available at a price most people could afford. Priced at 23 cents and sold where people shopped every day, they caused an instant sensation. Ellen Radel will talk about the history of these books and authors such as Margaret Wise Brown and Richard Scarry, and how these books helped millions of children develop a lifelong love of reading.
