Jewelry Techniques for Nature Finds - Jen Anfinson
Jewelry designer Jen Anfinson gives a presentation on how to wire wrap objects such as rocks, agates, driftwood and other pieces of nature and turn them into beautiful pieces of jewelry. Participants are encouraged to bring their own nature finds however the artist also has pieces on hand for them to use.

Participants will learn the technique of wire wrapping and what materials to use including wire and natural items. They will gain a greater understanding of the various techniques and methods that artists employ in jewelry design. In addition they will see the library as a place in their community that promotes learning, exchanging of ideas and community engagement. Anecdotal responses will be collected.
Participants learned hands on in the session how to wrap rocks, sea glass and other natural items into wearable pieces of jewelry. The artist demonstrated how the finished pieces could be attached to a necklace or bracelet. There were several people new to a library program at the workshop and they along with the regular patrons, saw the library as a place to learn new skills and exchange ideas.
