Minneapolis Guitar Quartet
The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet presents an entertaining and educational program featuring classical and contemporary music. The musicians also talk about the history and meaning of the music and how the guitars are played.

This program will provide an opportunity for people in our rural community to see a musical performance that they may not have access to otherwise. It will also be education so attendees will learn about music history in addition to hearing the music performed. Participant evaluations will be collected.
Attendees enjoyed having the opportunity to listen to professional performers play a wide variety of musical genres from classical to rock, an experience they don't often have in the small community. The guitar group members shared with the audience the history of the music that they played, most pieces arranged specifically for the group, and so audience members were introduced to many original pieces of music. Audience members viewed the library as a place that offers high quality entertainment, helping to enrich their quality of life in a small city and giving them the same advantages as those living in much larger cities.
