Attendees will learn about the writing process including aspects such as what inspires the author to write and how the publishing industry works. They will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of a Minnesota author about his writing and it is hoped that others from the community will be inspired to visit the library and expand their reading horizons. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Patrons learned how Brian Freeman's writing process works and also learned about steps in the publishing and editing process of a book. Participants learned how the author gets his ideas and ties the series books to one another.
