Creeping Critters - Dick Kimmel
Dick Kimmel presents a program of traditional animal folk songs beginning with 'turkey in the Straw' and ending with 'Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road.' Children are encouraged to write their own verses to a well known folk song and also allowed to handle a bear skull, buffalo bones and robe, deer antlers, grouse and turkey feathers and hear songs about various wildlife species. Kimmel, a professional wildlife biologist and 2018 inductee in the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, sings and plays guitar, banjo and mandolin.
