Author Pat Lubuck shares her stories of crime throughout history in Redwood County. Her tales of assaults, larceny, embezzlement, burglaries and many other crimes are shared in her book, 'Murder, Mystery and Mayhem in Minnesota.' The book shares weapons used to commit the crimes, the justice system and early prison conditions of prisoners during the 19th century.

Attendees will learn about the kinds of crimes committed in Redwood County as well as about the weapons used to commit those crime. They will also learn about the punishments for their crimes, the prisons and the court systems throughout the history of the county. Participant evaluations will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The author did a great job talking about how she researched her book and what compelled her to write the stories. She provided rich detail about the history of crime in Redwood County and presented factual tales that many had never heard before.
