North Country Characters - Sutter Brothers
Ross and Bart Sutter, also known as the Sutter Brothers, entertain the audience with a blend of humor, poetry and music. Their North Country Characters program highlights the people and culture of northern Minnesota. (A portion of this program paid with 2016 funds.)

Attendees will learn about Minnesota culture through humor, poetry and music. Participant evaluations and anecdotal responses will be collected.
The partnership with the Slayton Senior Citizen Center and library proved to be a great one and the response was exceptional. Thanks to a local sponsorship, the senior dining center was able to offer a delicious meal to those attending at the cost of $2.00 a plate and this drew in many community members in addition to the regular diners. The Sutter Brothers delighted those attending with a mix of music and poetry and stories of interesting north country Scandinavian characters.
