Those who attend the literary lecture will be able to ask questions and learn about the writing process from an award winning author. Patrons who are not familiar with Freeman's books will want to check them out, read or listen to his works. Anecdotal responses will be collected.
Attendees of the program heard about the author's writing experiences. Freeman and his wife Marcia also talked about the Minnesota settings of several of the books. He read the first chapter of his newest book and those attending were able to purchase advance copies ahead of the release date of May 1. Some of the audience members were already great fans of the books but some were going to start reading the titles that he recommended to get a good feel for his writing skills.
