The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet presents a program of classical music covering more than 400 years and contemporary works influenced by jazz, rock and folk music. Besides playing guitars the performers talk about the history and meaning of the music and provide demonstrations of methods of guitar playing.

The program will provide an opportunity for the community to experience a performance of one of the major guitar ensembles in the United States. Attendees will gain a better understanding an appreciation of different styles of music. Participation evaluations will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

35 people indicated that it is important to have live performances available. 40 people responded that this was the first time attending a Minneapolis Guitar quartet performance.
