This program highlights the Collaborative Summer Reading theme and will teach kids about accepting differences. It is hoped that by attending a live theater performance the participants will gain an understanding of acting and storytelling on stage. The ultimate goal is to reinforce to the children that they should accept one another and embrace the differences. Participant evaluation and anecdotal responses will be collected.
Those who attended were excited about the kick off to the summer reading program at the library. They reacted positively to the message that the Climb Theatre actors presented about accepting differences in other people. Parents attending thanked the library for offering such a positive program for their children.
