Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees will learn about Freeman's writing process and have the opportunity to ask questions. It is anticipated that in the months leading up to and following his visit, patrons will become interested in Freeman's work and check out his books from the library. It is hoped that members of the community will be inspired to visit the library as a result of the program and expand their reading horizons. Some may even begin writing their own works of fiction. Participant evaluations and anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Bringing an author such as Brian Freeman to our community is a very rare occasion and opportunities to meet with a well-known Minnesota author extremely rare. Attendees enjoyed hearing from the author how he chooses settings, about actual landmarks that have inspired him and how plots are formed in his popular books.
