Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Having the opportunity to have their collectibles appraised by an antiques expert will be an experience that most have never had. The presenter is energetic, knowledgeable and charismatic and will provide an entertaining and educational program for all. Participant evaluations and anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Everyone who attended Mark Moran's antiques appraisal event came away with something: information about their own antique or someone else's, a bit of knowledge about history and about the appraisal process. Additionally, attendees were able to connect with others over shared interests in antiques and personal history. The program also increased the Plum Creek Library System's visibility: a visitor from Texas happened to be traveling through one town and found out about the event and brought an antique with her to be appraised. Many people who normally don't use the library attended so it was a good way to promote the library to a different group of people. Mr. Moran was extremely knowledgeable and had an easy going personality and people enjoyed his program.
