Project Overview
Rebecca Fjelland Davis, a young adult author from the Mankato area, conducted a multimedia presentation on writing for young adults as part of the library’s monthly Teen Book Group meeting. She also signed copies of her books. This event took place at New Ulm Public Library. Ms. Davis later conducted a reading, answered questions, and signed copies of her book during an all-ages open house at The Grand Center for Arts & Culture in New Ulm. She read from her short story in the new collection “Girl Meets Boy” as well as her 2011 novel “Chasing AllieCat.” These programs differed from the original description of the program, which was to be two readings at the library. The opportunity to utilize Ms. Davis’ teaching background for a young adult workshop as well as partnering with The Grand allowed us to expand this program.
