Project Overview

The Reptile and Amphibian Discovery Zoo (RADZoo) presented a wildlife program at the LeSueur, Montgomery and Waseca Public Libraries. Jamie Pastika displayed and discussed animals, and allowed attendees to touch some of the animals at the conclusion of the program.

Event Dates, Locations and Attendance at each individual event: LeSueur Library: 6/22/12 at 10 a.m. - 127 in attendance; Waseca Library: 6/22/12 at 2 p.m. — 75 in attendance. When audiences were asked if they had attended a RadZoo program in the past, results ranged from 20% to 40%.

The audiences were asked questions at the conclusion of the program in order to assess knowledge learned and interest in the program and subject matter.

Measurable Outcome(s)

At each of the three programs, attendees were asked questions to help evaluate the effectiveness of the presentations. The following were questions asked and percentages of positive responses. Did you learn anything new about animals today? Yes responses ranged from 75 — 90% ; Did you enjoy the presentation? 95%; Would you like to learn more about animals? 75%; Would you like to see more live animal programs at the library? 100%
