ASL: Beauty of Language and Culture
Participants came away from this program with an awareness of deaf culture, including relevant history of deaf culture, concepts of audism and colonialism as related to deaf culture. Participants also gained an understanding of facial expression and body language and its importance in a visual language such as American Sign Language.
