Author Event: The Minnesota Crime Wave
Audience will learn more about the mystery writing process through discussion with the authors. Audience will learn more about at least one mystery author. Audience will enjoy spending time with other mystery readers and authors.
This librarian observed many audience members asking questions about the writing processes of the authors and also discussing their reading preferences. Much of the presentation was a discussion. When asked informally, several people mentioned they hadn't heard about one or more of these authors before tonight but hoped to read their books now that they met the authors. Of the 49 surveys returned, 45 surveys reported being hightly satisfied with this program. Winnebago and the surrounding area have a strong mystery readership and this program was the talk of the town. 71 people attended the event.
