Project Overview
During National Library Week, we hosted Brian Richards at the Blue Earth Community Library. He shared his popular "Kids who read 'r' cool" program with us. This program was entertaining, but it also motivated kids to get excited about books. The three themes reinforced in this program were: reading expands your imagination, the more you read the more you know, and kids who read are cool.

Measurable Outcome(s)
Around 20 people participated. Those in attendance enjoyed Brian Richards' humor and asked questions about magic. The kids at the program wanted to check out books on magic and doing tricks. They were very excited. It was obvious after watching the magic performed that the kids wanted to learn more and sought out books on learning magic.
