Project Overview
Kids attended art workshops in St. James, Butterfield, Lewisville and Darfur. Inspired by the app Faces I Make, the kids created faces using everyday objects, such as office supplies, tools, toys, etc. Pat Branstad, a local photographer took photos of the kids' creations. Staff interviewed the kids on their creations. Staff then assembled a book featuring the kids' creations. One of the highlights of the book is how accurately the faces of the artists represent the makeup of our county's diverse community. It speaks to another level of the faces the county makes, so to speak.
