Bryce Stenzel, noted Lincoln portrayer, appeared in costume to talk of Lincoln's participation in the 1862 U.S.-Dakota War, and he emphasized Lincoln's turmoil in deciding whether to hang over 300 Native Americans found guilty in mass trials in Minnesota. He spoke about Clark W. Thompson, founder of Wells who was the Superintendent of Indian Affairs for the Northwest Territory (including Minnesota) at that time.
