The program will demonstrate how cultural roles changed for women as the war continued, learn about the role of small town Minnesota citizens in an international war, spark a new interest in uncovering more of Minnesota's rich history, and preserve Minnesota's history. Anecdotal responses will be collected.
Attendees asked numerous questions regarding the historical presentation. They learned about women's involvement in World War I, as well as Southwest Minnesota history and how women worked as field hands, railroad depot agents, and with the all-female Home Guard unit.
