Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees will get to hear about Doug's favorite Minnesota byways and view the pictures he took while touring Minnesota, all the while absorbing information and history about the subjects of those photos, whether it be schoolhouses, libraries, churches, etc. Attendees will have a greater appreciation for the scenic locations and places of interest available in the state of Minnesota. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

An elderly patron really connected to the program and talked about her experiences going to the Wabasso country school near Daub's Lake. Other patrons were very interested and asked her questions about it. At one point she even teared up and said "I haven't thought about it in so long...and it's strange to think about how those buildings are disappearing." I pulled up pictures of the country school on my phone from the library's historical photo albums on our website. She was able to name some of the unknown students for our website! Other patrons discussed the small towns they had traveled through and also talked a lot about some of the barns they'd like to drive by and see.
