Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

This performance will enlighten children with its unique twist on the fairy/folk tale as well as pass along a story from German ancestors. While this classic story is not only highly entertaining, it also plays an important role in passing along core values or character traits. Folktales were often employed to share a common history, to reinforce cultural values or highlight important traditions. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Many children have not experienced attending a live performance and this exposure to this type of activity was a memorable learning experience. The performance included audience participation allowing several children the opportunity to be part of the performance. Attendees were introduced to this classic Brothers Grimm tale.
