Step Back in Time - Owatonna Bus Trip
The Jackson County Library System is sponsoring a one day charter bus trip Wednesday, May 8 to Owatonna, MN for "A Step Back in Time" tour. An experienced tour guide will join the group in Owatonna to provide a tour and history of the MN State Public School Orphanage Museum, the Louis Sullivan designed National Farmers' Bank and the Village of Yesteryear. Two 56 person charter buses will be reserved. The charter buses will makes a stop at Heron Lake, Lakefield and Jackson Libraries to pick up and drop off those participating. The first pick up will be at the Heron Lake Library

Those taking the trip will gain knowledge about the orphanage and the children that lived there. Attitudes, feeling and beliefs will change about the children and those that cared for them. It is a look at part of history that has been preserved for posterity. Participant evaluations and anecdotal responses will be collected.
