Learn basic sewing techniques and create a stuffed animal out of socks. This is a two-hour multi-generational class for kids working with a parent or other adult. The class is also available for adults and teens, ages 14 and up, to attend and create on their own.

Kids will learn about basic sewing techniques and create a unique puppet of their own design. Kids and their parents or grandparents will have the opportunity to work together on a basic craft project. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Families worked together to create unique sock animals. The kids learned basic sewing from the instructor and then were able to make their sock animal unique by adding unique elements.
