Pint Sized Polkas
The Pint Size Polkas program rolls magic, comedy, and education into one fluid, high-energy, live musical performance. Age-appropriate trivia questions and a special edition of name that tune will relate to different kinds of shows, from the Wright Brothers first air show, to the theme songs from popular children's TV shows. Minnesotans have enjoyed polka music for generations, and this show will introduce it to a younger crowd.

Participants will see the library as a place where they can have experiences that are both fun and educational for all ages. Attendees will gain a new appreciation for polka and accordion music, perhaps sparking the desire to learn to play it for themselves. Patrons will enjoy listening to live music. Anecdotal responses will be collected.
The program was very interactive and many children got the opportunity to participate. Patrons commented that that the live music super fun. Someone also commented that it was a great opportunity to see an accordion, as that's not an instrument you get to see often and no kids were able to name it at the start of the program. We also learned how to yodel.
